Star Power
This tutorial was written by me on August 26, 2011,
and is written for those with a working knowledge of PSP.
It is written using PSP9, however, any version will do.
Please do not alter my tuts, or copy & paste them to any websites, blogs, or forums.
You may however, provide a link to the tut on my site.
This tutorial is my own creation, and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
Materials Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using a tube from Pinup Toons. You will have to purchase a license to use this tube. You can purchase it at CDO…HERE
Template I used is from Creative Misfits, and it can be found HERE.
(You will need to scoll almost to the bottom, template is found under Pooker.)
Mask I used is from Weescotslass mask #84 and and be found HERE.

Let’s get started:
Remember to save often!
Open template, Shift + D to duplicate. Close original. Resize all layers by 85%.
Raster layer 1, flood fill white.
At the top of the layer palette, copy and paste tube as a new layer.
Arrange how you like it and add a drop shadow.
On the grey circles layer, selections- select all- selections float- selections defloat.
Add new raster, Flood fill with a color from your tube, or you can use a paper of choice. Select none.
Add a gradient glow (optional) and drop shadow.
On greyrect layer, selections- select all- selections float- selections defloat.
Add new raster, flood fill with color from the star. Select none.
Still on this layer, go to Adjust- Add/Remove Noise- Add noise
Uniform checked, Monochrome checked, Noise 50.
Add the same gradient glow as above, and drop shadow.
On the ltpinkcircles layer, add an effect of choice ( I used Xero- fratillary 5-30-10-8)
Apply same gradient glow, and drop shadow.
On the ltpinkrectangle layer, selections- select all- selections float- selections defloat.
Effects- texture effects- blinds- width 4, opacity 40, color same as star in template.
Horizontal checked, Light from left/top checked.
Select none. Add gradient glow same as above, drop shadow.
On pinkcircle layer. Use the same effect as you used on the ltpinkcircles layer.
Add Fat Black gradient glow. Drop shadow.
On half circle layer, add same blinds effect as you added to pink rectangle layer.
On black squares layer, add a drop shadow.
On the star layer, add the same noise settings as you added to the greyrect layer.
Add a gradient glow to the star and drop shadow.
On the black circle layer, selections- select all- selections float- selections defloat.
Copy and paste a close up of your tube, position where wanted, selections- invert- delete.
Lower opacity of this layer to 18.
On the black stars layer, add a drop shadow.
On raster layer 1, copy and paste a paper of choice, or flood fill on new layer with a color that compliments your tag.
Layers- new mask layer- from image, select your mask in the box and apply.
Right click on the mask layer, and merge group.
Now add your copyright and name and save your tag.
